‘stil’ Tien jaar De Ketelfactory
De Ketelfactory beleeft het eerste kroonjaar van haar bestaan met een bijzondere expositie. In het monumentale pand worden 64 werken van 64 kunstenaars getoond. De werken zijn klein, maar de kunstenaars zijn van kaliber. Allen hebben zij eerder geëxposeerd in de Ketelfactory en werden voor 'STIL' opnieuw benaderd door Winnie Teschmacher (zakelijk en artistiek leider), waarop ze bijna allemaal positief reageerden. Opdracht was het creëren van een werk over 'stilte', met één richtlijn: de omvang mocht niet groter worden dan 30 x 30 x 30 cm. Ketelfactory, Schiedam

The work of Pieter Laurens Mol (1946) often features references to Vincent van Gogh. Both artists are originally from Brabant. In several works, Mol explores the personal significance of these shared beginnings.
Memories of Pieter Laurens Mol’s native region in Brabant play an important role in his work. With the works that he selected especially for this presentation, he is keen to also stimulate visitors’ memories.
Mol’s artworks are packed with dual meanings. Numerous works allude to the past, or contain hints towards a painting by Vincent van Gogh. With his presentation, Mol wants to create a refuge during the museum visit: ‘I hope to create resonance, something that invites reflection’. The bedroom
